INDIA LANDSCAPE
- India's education and skills market is expected to become USD 313 bn by 2030 from USD 180 bn in 2020.
- Total enrollment in higher education increased to nearly 4.33 cr in 2021-2022 from 3.42 cr in 2014-2015, an increase of 26.5% since 2014-2015.
- The current estimated valuation of Indian EdTech in 2024 is USD 7.9 bn, which estimated to grow to USD 29 bn by 2030 at a CAGR of 25.8%.
- Total FDI inflow into the education sector from April 2000 till March 2024 stood at USD 9.5 bn.
- The flagship scheme of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY) has trained over 1.21 crore youth till date.
- Over 7.5 lakh youth have been trained across industries under National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).
- Budget allocation for FY 2025 is USD 8.82 bn in the Department of School Education & Literacy.

- Total enrollment in government schools stands at 67.39 lakh.

- There are 2499 Colleges of General Education in Rajasthan, out of which
- Government Colleges are 536.
- Government Law Colleges are 19.
- Government Agriculture Colleges are 39.
- Private Colleges are 1,897.

- 50 Management Education Institutions at P.G. Level with total admission capacity of around 4,106 students per year.

Rajasthan: Value Proposition for Education & Skill Investors
Rajasthan has one of the highest number of universities in the country. There are 88 universities, out of which 53 are private universities and 28 are State funded universities and 7 other universities.
The State is home to numerous technical institutes, including prestigious ones like the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur, Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur, Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) - Kota, National Institute of Logistics and Material Management, Udaipur, National Law University, Jodhpur, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur, The Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani etc. The State hosts two skills university namely Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU) and Institute of Leadership Development (ILD).

State Skill Policy
The Rajasthan Government, in the State's Budget for FY 2025, announced a range of youth-centric policies and initiatives aimed at upskilling the youth, offering job opportunities, and supporting a vibrant environment for entrepreneurship in the State.
Ease of Doing Business
- RajNivesh portal provides a single point, online interface and a time-bound clearance mechanism by acting as a one-stop information / registration / approval / tracking centre for clearances / approvals.
- The platform integrates 120+ services across 14 departments, emphasizing the State's commitment to the implementation of investor-friendly policies that enhance ease of doing business and promote sustainable development.
- Officials from 14 concerned Departments of the State Government have been deputed to Bureau of Investment Promotion, Rajasthan for facilitation of investment proposals.
- Under the Rajasthan Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Facilitation of Establishment and Operation) Act-2019:
- For the execution of this Act, the Government of Rajasthan launched a web portal on 12th June 2019 for filing applications.
- Issuance of 'Acknowledgement Certificate' up on submission of 'Declaration of Intent' electronically or physically to the nodal agency.
- On basis of said certificate an MSME unit is exempted from approvals and inspections under all State laws for 5 years from the date of issuance of the Acknowledgement Certificate
